FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Fargo Air Museum hosts Dr. Gerald Parker as guest speaker for History
Night Tuesday, February 11, 2025. His discovery of radio at a young age led to a passion for history with a particular interest in vacuum tube radios, a crucial tool utilized in WWII. The event begins at 6:30pm with an on-stage interview led by Museum Collections Manager, Max Sabin, followed by a Q/A session with the audience. A $10 donation is requested, no pre-registration required. Museum members are invited to attend the event at no cost.

“I became interested in radio when I was ten years old and have continued to be very involved with the hobby. I had access to some “war surplus” equipment in the early 1950s and played with these wonderful toys hundreds of hours.”
said Dr. Gerald Parker.

“Dr. Parker’s presentation has direct ties to the Fargo Air Museum. Many of the radios he showcases were once installed in the very types of airplanes on display at the Museum, including the P-51 Mustang and B-25 Mitchell. Dr. Parker’s insight into the history and use of the radios will be a great event for World War II and military aviation
enthusiasts in the area.” said Max Sabin, Fargo Air Museum Collections Manager.
