GRAND FORKS, N.D. (VCSUVikings.com)– Valley City State University track & field competed at the UND Open on Saturday where the Viking women earned four top eight finishes and one school record. VCSU’s men earned three top eight finishes at the UND Open. VCSU’s athletes also recorded 10 personal records Saturday.

At the Open, the Vikings competed against Bismarck State, Concordia College Moorhead, University of Jamestown, Minot State University, Minnesota State University Moorhead, University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, St. Scholastica College, and University of Mary.

Viking senior Jasmine Barnes ran the 1000-meter finishing in 3:10.90, earning her second school record of the season and sixth place in the race.

Karly Just produced the second-fastest 3000-meter time in school history running a 10:53.08, earning second place.

Tennasyn Henry earned sixth place in the in the 600-meter with a time of 2:17.10.

Sophomore Emma Muggli earned eighth in the shot put with an 11.71-meter throw.

On the men’s side, Aaron Cutshall recorded a 6.67-meter long jump that earned fourth place.

Also earning fourth was Cameron Champagnie in the triple jump with a 13.84-meter attempt.

Lastly, the men finished seventh in the 4×400 meter relay with Isaac EichhorstGage GuntherTate Minnihan, and Zach Baumgartner representing the Vikings.
