JAMESTOWN – This Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Basketball team may be figuring out consistent play.
Tuesday, they started out in a very strong way, leading by as many as 28 points before holding off Minot North 75-64 at Jerry Meyer Arena.
Milan Martin led a balanced scoring attack for the Blue Jays (4-7, 2-6 WDA) with 15 points. Mea Ulland hit four three-pointers and scored 14. Leah Trumbauer popped in 12 points and Haley Attleson had 11. Milan and Attleson each hit four threes and Jamestown had 12 as a team.
The Blue Jays had a 40-24 lead at halftime and took their 28-point lead in the second half before Minot North (2-10, 1-8) rallied to as close as seven. Elli Laskowski poured in 32 for the Sentinels.
Jamestown, who has won two of their last three after enduring a five-game losing streak, will host Dickinson on Friday as part of a doubleheader at Jerry Meyer Arena.
