Kenneth Paulson, age 81, of Valley City died Sunday February 17th at his rural Valley City residence. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday, Feb. 23rd at Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City with Rev. Dayne Zachrison officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be past and present members of the Baldhill Rod and Gun Club and they are asked to meet at the church 15 minutes prior to services. Military Honors will be rendered by the North Dakota National Guard Honors Team.
Kenneth Lawrence Paulson was born Dec. 8, 1931 at Valley City, ND the son of Theodore and Olga (Aasland) Paulson. He attended school at Getchell #3 and then did farm and livestock work until entering the US Army in 1952. He was discharged in 1954 and then lived for a time in California before returning to North Dakota and partnering with his brother Palmer in business. His entire life revolved around farming and livestock and Kenneth was quite a livestock judge. He traveled to other states and Canada in this capacity. He also loved to hunt and fish; he was a member of the Baldhill Rod and Gun Club and the club held meetings at his house for many years. He also was quite proud of his hunting dogs. Kenneth died Sunday at the farm he spent his entire life on.
Survivors include his two brothers, George and Palmer both of Valley City and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Olga, two brothers Oscar and Robert, and 4 sisters, Belinda, Thelma, Agnes, and Myrtle.
