WEST FARGO – West Fargo United completed a regular-season sweep Friday with a 4-2 win over Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Hockey at the West Fargo Sports Arena.

Four different players scored goals for WFU (7-5-0-0, 7-4-0-0 League).  Layni Bakalar had a goal and an assist for Jamestown (2-10-0-0, 1-10-0-0).

Olivia Van Dam scored at 10:10 of the first period and West Fargo United led 1-0 after 17 minutes.

Emma Hassler increased the home team’s lead to 2-0 just 49 seconds into the second period.  Emerson Diede gave WFU a 3-0 lead at 4:46 of the second, but Bakalar scored on the power play for the Blue Jays at 4:54, assisted by Stella Belzer and Grace Allmaras.  Reaghan Mathias restored the three-goal lead for West Fargo United at 8:06.

Allamaras, set up by Bakalar, scored for Jamestown at 8:48 of the third period.

Ady Bakalar made 36 saves in goal as Jamestown was outshot 40-23.

The Blue Jays will play Tuesday at Devils Lake.
