JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dr. Dawn Entzminger, owner of Dr. Dawn’s Pet Stop, is launching a new scholarship through Jamestown Dollars for Scholars to support local students pursuing careers in veterinary medicine.
The $1,000 Dr. Dawn’s Pet Stop Scholarship will be awarded this spring to a graduating senior from Jamestown High School or Jamestown-BJA (formerly Jamestown North). Preference will be given to students who have interned at Dr. Dawn’s Pet Stop.
A media release states the scholarship reflects Dr. Entzminger’s passion for animal care and her commitment to the community. She has practiced veterinary medicine since 1998 and operates a full-service small animal hospital offering services such as wellness exams, dental care, laser therapy, and surgery.
“By investing in the youth of today, we help build a more vibrant and hopeful future for everyone. Supporting students now gives them the tools to achieve their aspirations and contribute positively to the community for years to come,” Dr. Entzminger said.
Sally Ost, a board member of Jamestown Dollars for Scholars, expressed gratitude for the contribution. “Dr. Dawn Entzminger has consistently shown a strong commitment to giving back to the community, and this scholarship is a true embodiment of that effort. It offers a deserving student the financial assistance necessary to follow their passion for veterinary medicine and achieve their career goals,” Ost said.
Dr. Entzminger’s clinic serves cats, dogs, and pocket pets, with a focus on providing compassionate and stress-free care. The scholarship is an extension of her dedication to fostering opportunities for young people in the community.
