BOTTINEAU – The powerplay had plenty of power for University of Jamestown ACHA Women’s Hockey on Friday.

Jamestown was four-of-six on the powerplay in a 6-1 win over Dakota College of Bottineau at the Lumberdome to end a month-long seven-game winless streak.

Gaby Schroder scored twice, including once on the powerplay, and had an assist for the Jimmies (4-8-1-2).  Sam Beaulac had a goal and an assist.

The first of the powerplay goals was the third of the season for Beaulac at 13:00 of the first period, with assists by Jaeda Clayton and Schroder.

Chloe Gauthier scored her third on the powerplay at 3:39 of the second period and UJ led 2-0 after 40 minutes.

Rylee Gee made the Jimmies’ lead 3-0 with a powerplay tally at 8:39 of the third period, assisted by Jayden Baker.

32 seconds later, Alivia Tlibury scored her second.

The first goal for Schroder came at 13:05 of the final period, set up by Bethany Wielgosh.

Jenesha Hammond spoiled the shutout with the only goal for DCB (0-3-0-0) at 14:26.

Schroder closed the scoring with her sixth on the powerplay with 1:44 left.  Beaulac and Wielgosh assisted.

Katelyn Galuska earned her first win in goal for UJ with 25 saves in her first collegiate start.  The Jimmies had an enormous 58-26 shot advantage.

Jamestown will host Minot State on Friday, December 6 at 7:30 PM at Wilson Arena.
