JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Airport reported 939 passenger boardings in October, a slight decrease of seven passengers compared to the same month last year, according to the latest figures from the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission (NDAC). Year-to-date, the airport has recorded 7,499 passengers, a 13% drop from 2023.

Statewide, North Dakota’s eight commercial service airports celebrated a milestone, with 112,273 passenger boardings in October, marking the busiest October on record. The new high surpassed the previous October record of 110,013 set in 2014 and represented an 11% increase from October 2023.

“Six straight months of record-breaking passenger numbers highlights the current strength of our North Dakota’s airports and their communities,” said Kyle Wanner, Executive Director of the NDAC.

Among the highlights, Fargo’s Hector International Airport set a new all-time monthly passenger record with 48,627 boardings, surpassing its previous high set in August 2024. Devils Lake Airport also achieved a record for October with 785 boardings, topping its 2023 total of 714.

Statewide, North Dakota’s airports have served 88,388 more passengers year-to-date than during the same period in 2023, reflecting a 9% year-over-year increase. The NDAC expects the state to reach its highest annual passenger total by year’s end, boosted by the holiday travel season.
