Delores Ann Noot was born on March 9, 1931, in Beechy, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Peter and Elsie (Thurlow) Stevens.  She returned home with her family to the family farm in the Sheyenne Valley south of Valley City, North Dakota at an early age.  Her mother died when she was only 6 years old.  Because her father travelled a lot to find work during the depression, she was raised in large part by her three dedicated bachelor uncles.  After completing her elementary education at a nearby country school, she began high school in Valley City.  Her sophomore year was spent in Port Angeles, Washington where she went to help her aunt and uncle care for their handicapped child.  She returned to North Dakota to complete her high school education in Valley City.

Delores was married in 1951 and had four children whom she mostly raised as a single mother.  She also worked in a school lunch program, as a store clerk at the Withnell Grocery, White Drug and Hallmark store, and as an Avon and Fuller-Brush saleswoman.  In 1978, very shortly after the marriage of all her children, she married Theodore Noot, Jr.  She assisted him in his farming operation for nearly 40 years.

Having made a definite decision to make Jesus her Lord and Savior, she entered into Heaven on November 16, 2024.  Her physical death occurred at Edgewood Vista, Fargo under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Leonard Wayne Stevens, and her husband, Ted.  She is survived by her four children:  Gary (Lois) Withnell, Fargo, Carmen (Robert) Neevel, Marion, ND, James (Naomi) Withnell, Fargo and Vickie Hartley (Dave), Lonsdale, MN; nine grandchildren:  Nicholas Withnell, Emily (Sam) Twedt, Rachelle Schmitz, Amy (John) Wolfe, Michael (Lydia) Withnell, Andrea (Mike) Dobbelmann, Jayson Hartley, Jaymie Hartley and Krista Hartley (Jesse); and 19 great-grandchildren:  Nora, Brynn, Wyatt, Eden, Lexi, McKenzie, Jaxon, Colton, Bryce, Kailey, Lauren, Leo, Lacy, Miles, Reign, Austin ,Emma, Mason and Brody.
