HAZELTON- The 2024 Class B Region III Volleyball Tournament concluded on Thursday with the third place and Championship matches

Region III Final: Medina/Pingree/Buchanan def. Linton-HMB 3-1 (26-24, 25-23, 16-25, 27-25)

The third time was the charm! After losing twice this year to the Lions, the M/P/B Thunder punched their first ever state tournament ticket with a four-set win over top-ranked Linton-HMB.  Brynn Sorenson led the Thunder in kills as they won their first regional title in their second attempt all-time.

Third Place: Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier def. Carrington 3-1 (25-20, 16-25, 25-13, 25-18)

The Rebels won the final two sets to take the rubber match between the teams.  After winning the first set 25-20, E/K/M saw Carrington take set two 25-16 before turning it around to take third in the region.
