JAMESTOWN – With the postseason ahead, Jamestown Jimmies Women’s Volleyball looked to stay sharp. They did that and more.
Stinging 53 kills, Jamestown easily swept past Minot State 25-11, 25-13, 25-10 to close the regular season at Harold Newman Arena.
Aleah Zieske led UJ (22-1) with 13 kills and eight digs while hitting .545. Grace Adamson had 10 kills (.471) and Charlee Krieg had nine kills (.467).
For the match, the Jimmies hit a season-high .447.
Tenley Buddenhagen had 22 assists and Lily Bertsch had 21. Ellie Holen achieved 15 digs.
After leading 8-5, the Jimmies used a 17-6 run to end the first set. In set two, Jamestown scored 13 of 16 points after Minot State opened the second set 5-5.
Jamestown scored 15 of the first 17 points of the third set.
Bailee Brommenschenkel led Minot State (2-22) with six kills.
Jamestown will play on Friday, November 15 in the semifinal of the NSAA Volleyball Championship in Bellevue, Nebraska.
