FARGO, N.D. (AP) – A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper and the driver of a pickup truck that went out of control and rear-ended his patrol car on Interstate 94 near West Fargo both escaped serious injury.

Patrol Capt. Bryan Niewind said that Trooper Jamey Jahner and the pickup’s driver both were treated at a Fargo hospital and released after the Monday night crash.

Niewind said Jahner suffered a cut to his head and will be off duty for a couple of days to recover.
