JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department has notified the community of a high-risk registered sex offender, Sawyer John Suko, currently residing within the Jamestown city limits. Suko, age 31, is homeless and has been assigned a high-risk status by the North Dakota risk level committee under the Office of the Attorney General.
Suko is described as a white male, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He drives a 1996 black Ford Explorer.
Suko’s high-risk designation stems from a 2012 conviction for Gross Sexual Imposition in Stutsman County District Court. He received a sentence of one year and one day, with all but 81 days suspended, and was credited for 81 days served. Following his release, he completed five years of supervised probation.
Police emphasize that Suko is not currently wanted and has completed the court-imposed sentence. This notification aims to promote public safety without inciting fear within the community. Residents are advised not to use this information to threaten, harass, or intimidate Suko, his family, or any associated individuals, as such actions may lead to prosecution.
Printed handouts detailing Suko’s demographic information are available at the Jamestown Police Department. Additional information on registered offenders is available on the North Dakota Attorney General’s website at www.sexoffender.nd.gov.
