LaMoure, ND (NewsDakota.com) – LaMoure-Litchville-Marion, The number one seed for the 2024 9-Man football playoffs, had no trouble advancing to round three as the Loboes crushed Hankinson 72-13 at Townsend Field in LaMoure on Saturday, October 26th.
LaMoure scored on all seven of its first half possessions with standout RB Gunner Thielges leading the way. The Junior ran for six touchdowns and 332 yards by halftime including touchdown runs of 4, 28, 9, 61, 36, and 52 yards.
Senior Cael Hebl added a short td run and two interceptions, including a pick 6 as the undefeated Loboes rested most of their starters during the second half.
Sophomore DL Preston Arndt chipped in with two sacks.
Hankinson Junior QB Rae Earl had a hand in both scores for the Pirates as he threw a td pass to Freshman Tyson Falk and he also sprinted into the end zone from 17 yards out.
Hankinson ends the season at 7-3 and the Loboes improves to 9-0.
Next up for L-L-M is a home game vs South Prairie-Max (6-3) on Saturday, November 2nd. The Royals defeated Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood 42-28 in round two.
