CARRINGTON- Over to you, Rebels.

The Carrington Cardinals kept their hopes of the Regular Season District V Title and a first-round bye in the postseason alive with a 25-20, 25-21, 25-20 sweep of Griggs/Midkota on Monday night in the home finale.

As a team, the Cardinals (16-9, 5-1) had 124 digs, led by 32 from Kenadie Pazdernik and 21 from Sierra Friedt.  Mercedes Lura had 16 digs, 10 assists and 7 kills in the win while Isabel Wendel had 20 digs, 9 kills, and nine assists.

With the win, Carrington are no worse than the 2-seed in next week’s District V Tournament in Ellendale, and if Ellendale defeat Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier on Tuesday, they will move up to the 1-seed and earn a first round bye next weekend.
