FARGO – Jamestown Blue Jays volleyball split their six matches Friday and Saturday in the Scheels Invitational Volleyball Tournament.

Jamestown (14-10) was 2-1 in Friday’s pool play at Davies High School.  First, the Blue Jays lost to Fargo Shanley 25-23, 25-9, then won over Grand Forks Central 25-17, 25-18 and St. Mary’s 20-25, 26-24, 16-14.

Saturday, the Blue Jays’ first match in the Gold Bracket at North High School was a loss to West Fargo Sheyenne 25-19, 25-21.  Jamestown then lost to Horace 25-15, 25-21 before defeating Grand Forks Red River 19-25, 25-18, 15-11.

On Tuesday, Jamestown will return to WDA play, hosting St. Mary’s at Jerry Meyer Arena.  The Blue Jays are sixth in the league at 6-6.  Coverage will begin at around 6:45 PM on Tuesday on The Voice of the Blue Jays, Jamestown 107.1.  It can also be seen at the Jamestown 107.1 Sports YouTube Channel.
