CARRINGTON- The Carrington Cardinals got a balanced effort and used big runs in each set to quickly dispatch of Barnes County North on Tuesday night in a sweep (25-7, 25-5, 25-11) on the night Kenadie Pazdernik was honored for reaching 1,000 career digs.

The Bison (1-16, 0-4) started strong and took a 5-2 first set lead but after Carrington (10-7, 3-1) took an 8-7 advantage, Edyn Hornaert served out the set with a 17-0 run.

The Cardinals opened the second set up 11-1 and never looked back in taking it 25-5 before Sierra Friedt got the third set at libero and led the team with 16 digs as Carrington took the third set 25-11.

Carrington host their own invitational this weekend before hosting Kidder County for the annual Pink Night on Monday.  The match with the Wolves will begin at 7 PM on KDAK The Cardinal.
