VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said they will be visiting schools and educating children on the importance of having an evacuation plan in case there is a fire in your home.

Magnuson said firefighters respond to nearly 250 calls for service each year. He also wanted to thank the volunteer firefighters, their families and the businesses that support them in this community.

Fire prevention week runs now through October 12th.
