DICKINSON – University of Jamestown Baseball ended its fall schedule Friday with a split of a doubleheader with Dickinson State at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Ballpark.  Dickinson State won the opener 3-2 before Jamestown rallied with a seven-run third inning to win the second game 9-4.

Game 1: Dickinson State 3, Jamestown 2
Jamestown (5-2) led 2-0 through four innings. Alex Alva hit a two-out RBI single in the third. Landon Runge doubled the Jimmie lead with an RBI single in the fourth.
Dickinson State’s first run scored on a balk by Avery Liestman in the fifth. DSU (1-6) took the lead with a two-out, two-run double by Cameron Erickson in the home sixth.
Liestman (2-1) took the loss. He allowed three runs and six hits in five and a third innings with four strikeouts and two walks.

Game 2: Jamestown 9, Dickinson State 4
The first two runs in the big third inning for the Jimmies (6-2) scored on an error. Tristan Madison hit a sacrifice fly for a 3-0 Jamestown lead. Following walks to Ryan Muizelaar, Runge and Julian Romero, Ben Patton hit a grand slam.
Patton drove in five, as he had a sacrifice fly in the fifth. Jordan Singleton drove in the Jimmies’ ninth run with a sixth-inning double.
Luke Zimmer (3-1) won in relief. He struck out three in three and a third innings, giving up just a run and a hit.
