VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Parks and Recreation is hosting their annual Parktober Festival on Saturday, October 5th from 10am to 3pm in Chautaqua Park Valley City. The day will be filled with festive activities, delicious food, and family-friendly entertainment.

Spokeswoman Stacy Ingstad says festival goers can dive into a host of exciting activities including a Sand Volleyball Tournament.

Interested teams can get registered at vcparks.com She says funds raised from the event go to the VCPR Foundation Scholarship program.

The event kicks off with a Halloween Costume Fun Run/Walk register at vcparks.com or the day of the event Saturday morning. There will also be a pumpkin patch, a soybean pit filled with hidden treasures for children to discover, tractor cart rides, games to win prizes and inflatables for children.
