VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Area firefighters chased down a few grass fires over the last few days after a strong gusty wind helped fuel those grass fires.

Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said no injuries or structural damage was reported following three separate fire calls for service responding to grass fires in Barnes County.

No one should do any burning in the area due to dry conditions and gusty wind in the forecast over the next several days.
