MANDAN – Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Golf stands 11th of 12 teams after 18 holes of the 2024 NDHSAA AA Girls State Golf Championship at Prairie West Golf Course.

Jamestown shot 419 as a team in Monday’s first round, 18 shots ahead of 12th-place Horace.

Aspen Humes was the best for the Blue Jays with a 93.  Mylee Michel shot 105, Belle Sjostrom had 110, Braelyn Wiese fired a 111, Taylor Earnest shot 112 and Brooke Dietrich had a 117.

Red River (328) leads overall by eight shots over West Fargo Sheyenne.  Red River’s Ella Spiedel shot 76 Monday and leads individually by one shot over Payton Stocker of West Fargo Sheyenne.

The final round will be contested on Tuesday.
