JAMESTOWN – Charlie Archer and Jake Simson scored Saturday as University of Jamestown Men’s Soccer blanked Northwestern College 2-0 at Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium.

Archer broke open a goalless match in the 70th minute after taking a pass from Kael Calder.  After one dribble, Archer blasted a 25-foot right-foot blast into the upper right corner of net for a 1-0 lead for Jamestown (3-4-3).

In the 82nd minute, Northwestern College’s Nikko Helderop fell while try to play the ball back to the Red Raiders’ keeper.  Simon stole the ball, then was taken down deep in the box by Helderop, resulting in a penalty shot.  Simon converted for the 2-0 Jamestown lead.

Charlie Clark made four saves in goal.

Jamestown will host Bellevue Saturday at 3:00 PM at Hansen Stadium,
