CITY (NewsDakota.com) – Individual wrestlers will punch their tickets to the State Tournament during Regional Tournaments Saturday across the state.

The Valley City Hi-Liners will take part Saturday in the EDC Individual Tournament on Saturday at Grand Forks Red River. The Jamestown Blue Jays will be in the WDA Individual Tournament at Minot High School on Saturday.

In Class A wrestling, the top eight qualifiers at the Regional Tournament advance to the State Tournament Feb. 14-16 at the Fargodome.

Class B Individual Regionals are also Saturday throughout the state. Region 1, featuring Oakes, will be Saturday in Napoleon. Radio coverage of that tournament can be heard on KDDR 1220-AM.

Region 2, featuring Carrington, will be held in Walhalla. Radio coverage of Region 2 can be heard on KDAK 1600-AM.

Carrington qualified as a team for the dual tournament, but Oakes, Valley City and Jamestown missed out on the dual tournament, making Saturday their last chance to qualify wrestlers for state.
