For the fourth time this season, it came down to the last match out tied 4-4, and for the third time, it was decided by a super tiebreaker in that last match.  Unfortunately for Valley City they were unable to win that final match. The Hi-Liners are now 1-7 on the season, and have had three of their losses coming in the last match.

Despite the heartbreaking result head coach Matt Neilson, says that his team is “right in the EDC mix as a team’, and believes that if his team can prevent themselves from becoming disparaged by all the close losses there could be a potential turnaround. Valley City will host Fargo North on Thursday at 4:00 PM for their last home match.  Regardless of the outcome, they will be in an away play-in match next Monday with the winner going to the regional tournament on Thursday.
