VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Since early May of 2024, the front of the Valley City Barnes County Public Library has been closed to the public for roof replacement and restoration of the rotunda and dome to it’s original 1903 Historic state.

On Saturday, October 5th join the VCBC Public Library Foundation from 12pm-4pm for a SNEAK PEEK of the dome.

Library board president, Hilde van Gijssel said the Tuesday Club held concerts to raise funds for the library back in the 1890s to honor the history and celebrate the completion of the library  construction.

She said on October 5th, there will be a freewill donation concert from 3pm-4 pm by the Third Avenue Quartet. A string quartet under the direction of Jane Linde Capistran. Come for the whole concert or just stay for a little bit.  Donations raised from the concert will go towards Closing the Gap and are greatly appreciated. Everybody is welcome.
