JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 52, about two miles north of Jamestown, resulted in serious injuries to three individuals on Monday afternoon. The crash was reported at 4:42 pm at the intersection of 32nd Street SE.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by a 43-year-old male from Mission, Texas, was traveling westbound on 32nd Street SE. The driver allegedly disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a southbound 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The Hyundai was driven by a 69-year-old male from Glenview, Illinois.

The crash was an angle collision, with the Dodge Ram striking the Hyundai on the front driver’s side. Both vehicles veered off the road and came to rest in a ditch on the southwest side of the highway.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, as well as the driver and a 65-year-old female passenger in the Hyundai, all sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were treated on scene by Jamestown Ambulance and transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for further medical care.

Authorities confirmed that all individuals were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The driver of the Dodge Ram has been cited for disregarding a stop sign. No charges were filed against the Hyundai driver or passenger.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Ambulance, and Stutsman County Rural Fire & Rescue all responded to the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
