CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) For several weeks Valley City fire & rescue sirens have been down as cold weather hampered the installation of the new digital equipment.

Fire Chief Gary Retterath said the sirens will be tested today and should be ready for use.

Retterath says the new digital sirens were delivered several weeks ago but extremely cold temperatures made the installation of the equipment a bit tricky.
