CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Eyebrows were raised when Barnes County Commissioner John Froehlich questioned the professionalism of an email he and Commissioner Phil Leitner did not receive concerning a flap over a 9-1-1 dispatcher’s call with a citizen.

No details were given about the contents of the call, board president Eldred Knutson says Police Chief Fred Thompson reprimanded the dispatcher.

But Commissioner Froehlich said sharing the email with only 3 commissioners instead of all 5 may be an open meetings violation. He believes this issue and questionable professionalism need to be addressed.

KOVC radio and newsdakota.com made a formal request to obtain a copy of the email and the dispatcher recording for this news article.
