BEULAH- They don’t ask how, only how many.  And the answer for Carrington is two in a row to begin the season.

Behind a huge two-way performance by senior Corbin Clifton, the Cardinals overcame a sluggish start to beat the Beulah Miners on the road 32-18 on Friday night.

After Beulah picked off Josh Bickett on the second play of the game and converted it into a 6-0 lead, Bickett responded by hitting Ryder Bickett on a 55-yard TE screen to tie the game in the first.  Carrington then took the lead on a one yard QB sneak, but after a fumble, the Miners responded with a short TD drive to tie the game at 12.

From there, the Cardinals took over, with the highlight an 82-yard Bickett-to-Bickett touchdown toss.  Ryder Bickett has five catches for 270 yards and five TDs through two games.  Josh finished 7/12 for 240 yards, 2 TD, INT and 61 yards and a TD on the ground for his second consecutive game with at least 300 total yards and at least three touchdowns.  Clifton had 68 yards and a TD rushing, 43 yards receiving, and a third quarter interception in his own end zone to stop a Beulah drive.

Carrington (2-0) begins Region II play on Friday night at the Grafton Spoilers (0-2).  Coverage on KDAK The Cardinal begins at 6:30 PM.
