BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – North Dakota’s eight commercial service airports saw record-breaking passenger traffic in July, according to the latest report from the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission (NDAC). A total of 112,141 passengers boarded flights during the month, surpassing the previous record of 111,209 set in July 2014.

This new milestone represents a 13% increase in passenger traffic compared to July 2023, with 12,693 more boardings recorded year-over-year.

“The rising passenger numbers continue to be a positive indicator of the confidence travelers have in our airports and the broader economic outlook of North Dakota,” said Kyle Wanner, Executive Director of the NDAC.

Among the state’s airports, Fargo’s Hector International Airport led the way, setting a new monthly record with 48,344 boardings, up from the previous record of 44,902 passengers in July 2023.

Devils Lake Airport also hit a new milestone, with 1,050 passengers boarding flights, surpassing its previous record of 1,032 set in July 2023.

Jamestown Regional Airport had 1,083 boardings in July compared with 995 from the previous year.
