The Valley City Post 60 Royals departed earlier this morning for the North Dakota State Legion Baseball Tournament in Mandan.

The tournament is a double-elimination format, with the first Valley City game tomorrow at 11:00 AM against Bismarck, and the VCSU Foundation Pre-Game Show at 10:45 AM. If Valley City wins tomorrow, their next game on Friday will be at 5:00 PM; if they lose, the game will be once again at 11:00 AM.

Valley City’s starting pitcher tomorrow will be Ethan Miller. Miller has only allowed two earned runs in his last four games, including a complete-game shutout against Casselton that sent Valley City to the state tournament.

All Valley City Post 60 games can be heard on 1490 AM/ 96.3 FM KOVC.

All games will be held at BNC National Bank Field at Mandan Veterans Memorial Ballpark (501 3rd St. SW). Daily admission for the tournament is $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors, and a pass is $25 for adults and $18 for students and seniors.
