CARRINGTON – The 2024 Class B 13-15 Babe Ruth Tournament began on Friday at Bank Forward Park with opening round games.

Game One: Kindred 2 Hatton-Northwood 1

An RBI single by Jeremy Knight in the sixth inning scored Luke Starcevic as Kindred got by Hatton-Northwood 2-1.  Weston Enger opened the scoring for the Thunder with an RBI single in the fifth that was canceled out in the bottom half by a Graham Hesse single, scoring Starcevic.

Game Two: LaMoure 12 Rugby 2 (5)

Colby Thielges punched out eight over 3.1 innings and LaMoure scored in every inning in a five-inning 12-2 win over Rugby.  Logan Potts reached base four times, had three stolen bases and scored three runs in the win.  Greyson Mattson and Easton Thielges each had two RBI.

Game Three: Beulah 6, Burlington 2

Beulah scored four runs in the first two innings, all with two out. Dayson Ronyak doubled in a run in the first inning. Saige Roorda singled in a run and Chase Hetzler singled in two in the second. Jaden Evans pitched the first four and two-thirds innings for the win. Saige Roorda had a two-inning save.
Nathan Roe notched an RBI single for Burlington.

Game Four: Park River 20, Carrington 4 (4)

Defending champion Park River broke up a tight game with 14 runs in the fourth inning. Keagan Berg drove in three runs for the Pirates.
Jameson Kutz hit two RBI singles for Carrington.
