JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is notifying residents about a high-risk sex offender who has recently changed his address within the city.
Darren Michael Weber, 49, is now residing at 414 4th Ave SW, Jamestown, ND 58401. Weber drives a maroon 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with North Dakota license plate 281EIG.
Weber, a white male, is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 280 pounds, and has hazel eyes and brown hair. He has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.
Weber was convicted of gross sexual imposition on Feb. 3, 1999, in Burleigh County District Court, ND. He was sentenced to seven years, with four years suspended for three years, followed by three years of supervised probation.
Police emphasize that Weber is not currently wanted and has served his court-imposed sentence. The notification aims to ensure public safety and is not intended to incite fear or vigilantism. Residents are warned that harassment, intimidation, or threats against Weber, his family, landlords, or employers will result in prosecution.
