CARRINGTON- Grady Shipman tossed a complete game six-hitter while walking two and striking out fifteen as Carrington Post 25 defeated Kindred in non-league play 3-1 at Bank Forward Park on Wednesday afternoon.
The game was scoreless until the last of the third, when Carrington (12-3) scored three runs on two hits and the Vikings committed four errors for a 3-0 lead. In the fifth, Kindred got back-to-back doubles to score a run and cut the lead to 3-1.
But that was as close as it got, as Shipman struck out five of the last seven he faced in picking up the win. For the summer, he has now struck out 45 in 29.1 IP.
Carrington return to play Friday at Devils Lake with coverage on KDAK The Cardinal beginning at 4:45 PM
