CARRINGTON- Kael Kovar dominated at the plate and on the mound as Carrington beat the Devils Lake Storm 9-2 on Monday afternoon at Bank Forward Park.

After Kovar doubled in the third, a wild pitch from Storm starter Jackson Strong scored him for a 1-0 lead.  Then in the fourth, Kovar and Ryder Bickett each had RBI doubles for a 3-0 lead.

After two unearned runs scored in the sixth to make it 3-2, Carrington (7-2) blew the game open with a 6-run bottom half.  RBI hits by Kovar, Bickett, Max Whittman,  and a 2-run single by Jack Erickson made it 9-2.

Kovar tossed a scoreless seventh for a complete game, allowing four hits and two unearned runs while walking three and striking out four for his first win.

Post 25 get back into District IV play on Tuesday by visiting Wishek in a rescheduled game.
