VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two teenager escaped serious injury in a rollover crash in rural Barnes Country on Sunday, June 30th around 6:20pm.

The Highway Patrol said the driver of 2011 Chevrolet Equinox was west on 36th St SE when he failed to slow down for the T-intersection at 121st Ave SE. The Equinox went through the intersection, entered the ditch and went into a roll. The Equinox came to rest in a wheat field, southwest of the intersection. Both occupants the 13-year-old male driver and his 14-year-old male passenger were transported to CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City by private party and treated for their injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
