FINGAL, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – This coming Sunday, June 30th, Kathryn Nome Fingal ELCA Parish (KNF Parish) will host a community meal with free-will offering to help cover student lunch debts and support our local schools. The event runs from 11am to 1:30pm at Fingal Hall (350 3rd St, Fingal) serving pulled pork sandwiches with delicious sides including homemade baked beans and desserts. Activities include a silent auction as well as games, a duck pond, and a cookie walk for kids.

The event will benefit Enderlin, Litchville/Marion, Maple Valley, and Valley City public schools. In 2023, North Dakota’s number of children who were food insecure was almost 17,000 with ND schools having over $3 million in lunch debt on the books. Hunger, especially in rural communities, is one of the most crucial needs in the state and one of the most invisible to many.

Bunches of Lunches on Sunday is an opportunity to join in fellowship while serving neighbors and the broader community.
For more information, you can reach the parish at 701-840-6268. KNF Parish’s mission is to hear and live out God’s promises of love through worship, faith formation, fellowship, and service.
