(JC Sports Information)- Jamestown College head volleyball coach Jon Hegerle announced that Kaitlin Anderson of Grand Forks signed a Letter of Intent to enroll at Jamestown College and play for the Jimmies beginning in the Fall of 2013. She will graduate this spring from Red River High School.
Anderson, a five-foot-ten middle hitter, recorded 253 kills, 101 blocks, 101 digs and 38 aces her senior season for the Roughriders. She was named to the All-State Tournament Team.
“Kaitlin is not only an accomplished volleyball athlete, she is also a young woman of great character,” coach Hegerle said. “Kaitlin comes from a tremendous volleyball program that is a leader in the state of North Dakota in training players in both the skills of the game as well as what it means to be a productive member of a team. I truly enjoyed getting to know Kaitlin and her parents in the recruiting process and I am looking forward to working with her in the future. I truly believe that Kaitlin will be a great asset to our volleyball program and our campus.”
Anderson has also been active in basketball, track and band. She plans to major in Elementary Education at Jamestown College. She is the daughter of Dean and Deb Anderson.
