DICKINSON – An excellent season for Jamestown’s Julia Skari continued Friday with two wins at the West Region Track & Field Meet at Biesiot Activities Center.
Skari won the 110 meter hurdles in 15.14 and the 300 hurdles in 45.68.
Overall, Jamestown’s girls were sixth with 54 points. Automatically qualifying for the state meet were Skari, Allysah Larson in the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump and triple jump, Addison Marker in shot put, Kinley Anderson in discus, Kendyl Anderson in javelin and Layna Hoffer in high jump.
The Blue Jay boys placed ninth with 29 points. Finishing in the top six in their events to qualify for state were Sam Anteau in the 3200 meters, Brady Harty in the 300 meter hurdles, the 4×200 relay team of Gradin Thorlakson, Aiden Skari, Ryan Kallenbach and Harty, the 4×100 relay team of Thorlakson, Heath Heupel, Skari and Harty, the 4×800 relay team of Micah Stoudt, Jack Schauer, Raine Job and Anteau and Jacoby Traut in the javelin.
The NDSHAA State Track & Field Meets will be held May 23-25 at the MDU Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck.
