WEST FARGO – West Fargo sent Jamestown Blue Jay Softball into the postseason with a slightly sour finish for the visitors.

West Fargo swept the Blue Jays in a doubleheader to end Jamestown’s regular season 2-1 and 13-0 (five innings) Thursday at West Fargo High School.

Game 1: West Fargo 2, Jamestown 1

A two-run fourth inning single by Brooklyn Williams was the difference in the game for West Fargo.  Jamestown (17-11) gained a run back in the fifth with an RBI ground ball by Sophia Bond.  The Blue Jays stranded one runner in each of the fifth and sixth innings and two in the seventh.

Maddie Hoff pitched well in the loss, striking out seven in six innings.

Game 2: West Fargo 13, Jamestown 0 (5)

West Fargo scored 12 runs in the third inning on 10 hits, three walks and two errors.  Kendal Krenz had three hits and four RBI for the Packers, and Sydney Dye had three hits and three RBI.

Jamestown (17-12) was held to two hits, singles by Avery Graves and Lucy Falk.

The Blue Jays finished 12-8 in WDA play and will next play in the conference tournament next week.
