Casselton, ND (NewDakota.com) – The Region 1 Baseball Tournament has been postponed a day due to field conditions in Casselton.

The Tournament, which was supposed to begin today, will now begin at 11:00 am Friday, May 17th. The 1st game will be the #4 Oakes Tornadoes vs #5 Oak Grove Grovers. The winner of that game will then immediately play #1 Central Cass at approximately 1:30 pm. Game 3 will be #3 Northern Cass vs #7 HFCTRL at approximately 4:00 PM. The winner will then play #2 Kindred at approximately 6:30 PM.

Day 2 will again begin 11:00 am on Saturday May 18th with the winner of the Central Cass vs Oak Grove/Oakes taking on the winner of Kindred vs Northern Cass/HFCTRL. The winner will await the loser out bracket winner for a game Monday at 7:00 PM. The Loser of Game 1 on Friday will take on the loser of Game 4 at 1:30 pm and the second loser out bracket game will take place between to losers from Games 2 and 3 at 4:00 pm. The winner of those games will play the night cap at 6:30 pm.

The final day will take place on Monday the 23rd starting at 5:00 pm for the right to play in the championship game immediately following at approximately 7:00 pm. If the team from the loser out bracket wins then a 2nd game will take place between those two teams on Tuesday the 21st.
