MINOT, N.D. (KFGO) – Police arrested a suspect for terrorizing late Saturday night in Northwest Minot.

Police were dispatched to a hotel after receiving reports of an altercation in the parking where a man with a gun was chasing another man. When police arrived, they contacted the 45-year-old Minot man but he retreated to his hotel room and refused to leave his room or follow officer commands.

After more than 90 minutes, the Minot Police Department’s SWAT team arrived on the scene to assist officers. The suspect was taken into custody a short time later.

No injuries were reported during the incident. The suspect has been charged with Terrorizing, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, both Class C Felonies, and is currently being held at the Ward County Jail
