N.D. (Prairie Public News & AP) – The North Dakota House could vote this week on a “fast track” bill to get highway funds in the hands of the state’s Department of Transportation earlier.

The Senate already passed the bill last week, which would make 720-million dollars available to be used in the 2013 road construction season.

Other items expected to be addressed in the Legislature this week include a 56 cent increase on the tax per pack of cigarettes as well as a measure that would allow alcohol sales on Sundays to begin at 10 a.m. rather than Noon.
