N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Senate has voted to “fast track” transportation funding.

The measure would appropriate 720-million dollars immediately on passage to the state’s Department of Transportation. District 12 Senator John Grabinger says it will provide about $100 million to non-oil producing counties, but says that’s only the first step toward fixing roads statewide.

The vote was unanimous in the Senate. The House will now take up the measure.
