CARRINGTON- The Carrington baseball team had Friday’s games moved up a day in an effort to beat the race against the forecasted rain on Friday, but fell twice at Bank Forward Park.

Tate Wolsky doubled twice, including in a three-run third inning to take a 3-2 lead, but Langdon scored the next ten in a 12-3 loss that dropped Carrington to 2-5 on the season.
Jacob Boeshans made his first start on the mound and lasted 5 innings, allowing three earned while striking out six.

Brothers Jace and Cole Nitschke combined to pitch a three-hit shutout as the Cardinals fell 4-0 to drop to 2-6, 1-2 in Region III play.
Right-hander Corbin Clifton was outstanding, going six innings and not allowing a hit after the first inning, but the Cardinals only had a runner reach third base once in the game.
The Cardinals are back in action Saturday, weather permitting, against Renville County at home.
