BISMARCK – After a good opener, Jamestown Blue Jay baseball has hit a skid.

Legacy extended Jamestown’s losing streak to five games with a doubleheader sweep Tuesday 6-4 and 4-1 at the Sanford Sports Complex.

Game 1: Legacy 6, Jamestown 4

Jamestown (1-4, 1-4 WDA) lost despite out-hitting Legacy 9-3.

Thomas Newman (1-1) struck out nine in five innings, but took the loss, allowing four runs, three hits and five walks.  He also drove in two runs.  Tyson Jorissen also had an RBI.

Drew Beasley hit a two-run double for Legacy (9-6, 5-2).

Game 2: Legacy 4, Jamestown 1

Jameson Johnson and Ryker Zietz combined on a no-hitter for Legacy (10-6, 6-2).  Johnson struck out seven in five innings.  Harrison Johnson hit a two-run double.

Adam Sortland (0-1) pitched a four-hit complete game for Jamestown (1-5, 1-5).

Jamestown will next play on Friday, May 3 at Mandan.
