NEW ROCKFORD – Six errors and six unearned runs allowed was too much for the Carrington Cardinals to overcome in a 12-8 loss to the LaMoure/Litchville/Marion Loboes on Tuesday afternoon in New Rockford.
Grady Shipman came within a home run of the cycle, and his three-run triple tied the game at 5 in the fourth before he scored on a throwing error on the same play to give the Cardinals (2-4, 1-1) a short-lived 6-5 lead.
LaMoure immediately answered by scoring three runs in the fifth without a hit while Carrington committed two errors in the inning and the Loboes (3-3, 1-2) would not trail again.
Josh Bickett reached three times and scored three runs in the loss.
Carrington is back in action Friday morning at home against Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich with coverage on KDAK The Cardinal beginning at 10:15am.
