VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Music Department at Valley City State University will be hosting the senior recital of Tanner Douville, on Saturday, April 20th , at 3:30 pm. Mr. Douville will be performing vocal repertoire by George Fredric Handel, John Dowland, Brams, Shubert, Francesco Cavalli, Giuseppe Giordani, Giovanni Paislello, and Antonio Caldara. Douville will perform alongside Dr. Ozzie Johnson, VCSU piano faculty.
Mr. Douville is from Twin Valley, MN, and is a Senior Music Performance major. He has studied voice with Dr. Stephen Cunningham. During his time at VCSU, Mr. Douville has participated in Concert Choir, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Opera Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, University Singers, and has participated in NAfME. Mr. Douville will be graduating in the Spring of 2025. After graduation, he plans on opening a music business in the area.
The recital will be held in the Performance Hall at the VCSU Larry J. Robinson Center for the Arts. Admission to the recital is free, and community members are welcome and invited to attend. For those who are not able to attend in person, the recital will be live-streamed on Valley City State University Music’s YouTube and Facebook pages.
