VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com, photo courtesy of VCSUVikings.com) There are some awards where a player leaves little doubt that they deserve it.
Enter Viking infielder Saige Forseth.
Forseth smashed her way to her first North Star Athletic Association Player of the Week award, receiving the award yesterday. Forseth was part of a Viking rout of Waldorf, with the Vikings winning three games in a combined 15 innings by scores of 28-2, 16-1, and 18-1.
In three games, Forseth crushed three home runs, and drove in 11 runs on an 11-14 performance at the plate. She had 21 total bases in the series, slugged 1.500 and had 16 putouts and an assist in 18 chances defensively.
The Vikings are set to host Viterbo this weekend.
